Terms, Scope & Data Consent

The Range is a deliberately-targeted security challenge (a “honeypot”) operated to demonstrate Hyve Overlord with its Raptor defense engine. A real $250 Visa gift-card bounty is offered to anyone who can defeat its defenses. There is no intended solution path and no obligation that the bounty ever be won.

You are authorized to probe and attack this web application’s own logic and endpoints only.

In scope:this site’s pages, its APIs, and the vault challenge.

Out of scope & strictly prohibited: denial-of-service or volumetric flooding intended to degrade availability; attacking the underlying hosting, infrastructure, DNS, or any third-party provider; targeting other visitors, their data, or their sessions; social engineering of the operators; physical attacks; and any activity that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or ours.

The Range is a security-research data farm. For every request we record:

• IP address and coarse geolocation (country / region / city);
• request headers, method, path, query string, and submitted payloads;
• a browser / device fingerprint and basic interaction telemetry.

We use this solely to study attacks and improve our defensive systems. We do not sell it.

By interacting with the Range you consent to the collection and processing described above for security-research and product-improvement purposes. If you do not consent, do not interact with the site. Where required by applicable law, you may contact us to request access to or deletion of data associated with you, subject to our legitimate need to retain security records.

A single active $250 Visa gift-card bounty is offered at a time. To claim it you must submit the exact protected code through the vault and provide a contact. All claims are logged and manually verified before any payout. We may rotate, retire, or re-arm the bounty at any time, and may withhold payout for any submission obtained through out-of-scope conduct. One payout per valid breach; our determination of validity is final.

The Range is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Range. You participate at your own risk and are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you.
